🌟What to Expect:

- **Join us for Mission trips to continue to make an impact on the Water Crisis Campaign in order to end it by 2035. Visit Nigeria, Niger, India, or Pakistan each year. A Mission Trips helps you see and feel what the poor and needy suffers for lack of clean water.

🎗️Why Attend?

Your presence matters. By joining us for our local events such as the Walk for Water, you will also be able to help raise funds for our Mission Trips by donating, understanding the problem and sharing it with others. That helps you be a difference maker in the lives of those we serve and help bring the good news of the living water through safe water access to the poor & needy (Psalm 9:18). Funds raised will support Relief Network Ministries work in Nigeria, Niger, and India.

Visit our website at www.reliefnetworks.org/Missions or call (281) 535-3553. To donate, text "GIVE" to 409-377-6778.

Let's create memories, celebrate generosity, and change lives together. See you soon! 🌟✨

🌟January 2025 Missions to Nigeria:

Mission Trip Summary

**Back Home Safely: **

I returned safely to my family in La Marque, Houston metro, at 9:00 PM on January 27th. The 10.5-hour flight from Lagos, Nigeria, was smooth but uncomfortable due to cramped seating.

**Travel Challenges: **

- **United Airlines Issues: ** Long delays (5 hours outbound, 11 hours returning) and the inconvenience of transferring between Washington Dulles and Reagan National airports with luggage have made me reconsider flying UA for international trips.

**Nigerian Domestic Travel: **

I missed a flight from Lagos to Owerri due to late airport arrival & underestimation of traffic by my host but managed to catch the next one, arriving in time for my brother’s late mother-in-law’s burial on January 10th.

**Road Travel in Nigeria: **
  • The journey to Benue State was arduous, with long stretches of bad roads, excessive dust, and limited access to public restrooms.

  • Vehicle challenges included a brake failure and a leaking tire, but these were resolved without major incidents.

**Mission Accomplishments: **

1. **Water Projects: **

  • Dedicated 3 new wells (Orlu, Imo State, and Aba, Abia State) and rehabilitated 1 well for a school in Yandev, Benue State.

  • Conducted impact assessments at 4 previously completed well sites.

2. **Community Engagement: **

  • Met with the director, staff & kids at MKAR Orphanage for their New Year celebrations with goat meat feast.

  • Held discussions with the General Secretary of the NKST Church denomination in MKAR regarding our ongoing Church Mobilization and Partnership Strategy program for evangelism through water projects.

  • Preached at a very remote bush church in Akper near Akperga in Gboko Local Government Area, where 15 adults gave their lives to Christ. This community expressed deep gratitude for the borehole well completed last year and welcomed us with a goat, 16 yam tubers, and a bag of oranges as the community expressed gratitude for their borehole.

3. **Infrastructure Projects: **

  • Assessed the impact of a water project at the SO-SAID vocational institution for the disabled & destitute in Lagos. Showed us their new fishpond - a result of their new water source.

  • Made progress on permits and agreements for our own RNM Solar Pump Training Workshop in ABA, with construction planned to begin within 3 months.

**Closing: **

Despite challenges, I thank God for safety and the successful completion of our ministry’s mission trip goals. Detailed outcomes of this mission will be shared in a future report.
